How does this covering retract?

Hi Wendy,
Our shades are non-retractable. However, you are able to remove the shade from the structure. If you are wanting to be able to remove and put the shade back on, we suggest getting the glide elbows. This mechanism helps to loosen the tension on the shade to make taking it off easier and faster!
